The institutional food programme, implemented by the World Food Programme (WFP) in collaboration with the Lviv Agrarian Chamber across the Lviv and Ternopil regions, continues its vital mission of providing support and fostering stability, whilst demonstrating remarkable reliability and confidence in the eyes of its participants.
Over the past four months, there has been a steady increase in confidence in this initiative among programme participants – organisations and institutions – as evidenced by a significant number of positive reviews, expressions of gratitude and a desire to continue participating. One of the key factors contributing to the programme’s stability is its long-term nature. Institutions that have joined the World Food Programme’s Institutional Food Programme are able to plan a year ahead, as over 50,000 beneficiaries living and eating together in more than 300 institutions have benefited from our support during this time. This allows institutions to plan their expenditure in advance and be confident that the resources needed to provide assistance will be secured.
One of the main benefits of participating in the Programme is the reduction of financial and organisational risk for the institutions. Securing a stable source of food allows them to focus on providing other services and improving living conditions for the people in their care.
In these uncertain times, when stability determines success, the Institutional Food Programme proves to be a reliable pillar of support for institutions and communities in the Lviv and Ternopil regions. Its stability and the support from participants demonstrate that faith in the future is realistic, not merely a dream.
