STRENGTHENING OF THE UKRAINIAN-DANISH AGRICULTURAL PARTNERSHIP

April 28 2026

A Danish-Ukrainian business conference in the agro-technological sector is being held in Lviv on April 28. 13 leading Danish companies are represented at the conference. Among the participants are the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Thomas Lund-Sørensen, representatives of the Government, the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the Lviv Regional Council, investment funds, agricultural associations and businesses.

Heads of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber – Pavlo Muzyka and Ihor Vuytsyk – took part in the conference.

Strategic issues for Ukraine were discussed: development of the agricultural sector, investment attraction, introduction of modern agricultural technologies. Targeted panel discussions were divided into 4 separate clusters. The “Bioenergy” panel is dedicated to the consideration of modern trends in the processing of agricultural waste. In this context, Denmark’s experience in technical solutions that ensure the efficient use of agricultural waste for energy production is valuable for the agricultural sector of Ukraine.

At the panel “Dairy industry/cattle breeding”, the roadmap for the integration of the dairy sector of Ukraine into the EU, strategy, priorities and opportunities for Danish-Ukrainian cooperation were discussed.

The panel “Production of agricultural crops and fodder” is dedicated to the development of infrastructure and grain logistics in Ukraine.

A seminar on ASF was held at the “Pig Farming” panel. The issues of prevention and control of ASF outbreaks in Ukraine and Denmark, animal health and inclusive fight against diseases in the industry were discussed here.

Representatives of Ukrainian agricultural companies and farmers had the opportunity to establish contacts with Danish business in informal communication during lunch and coffee breaks.

It is important that Denmark has strong experience in bioenergetics, animal husbandry, efficient use of resources and modern agricultural technologies. Ukraine has land, producers, entrepreneurs and communities that are ready to develop.

The combination of this experience and potential can give a very concrete result – new production, jobs, investments and technologies.
