On November 27, another monthly meeting of the partners of the international project “Protection of biodiversity of the cross-border territories of Ukraine and Poland from invasive populations of borscht “Heracleum” took place as part of the implementation of the cross-border cooperation program financed by the European Union “Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027”. The meeting was traditionally moderated by the head of the Lviv Agrarian Chamber – Main Partner of the project – Ihor VUYTSIK. Such meetings have already become a permanent practice and serve as a platform for exchanging information, planning further steps and solving work issues that arise in the process of project implementation.

During the meeting, the partners presented their current progress and reported on the work done in November. Particular attention was paid to the first purchases already made by the project partners. The participants discussed in detail the procedure for entering these purchases into the CSZ2021 system, which is a key requirement for transparency and correct financial administration within the program.

Satellite images of the territories of communities of Poland and Ukraine participating in ZeroHeracleum were also an important element of the discussion. The partners reviewed the current data, which are used to monitor the spread of Sosnovsky’s borschivka and determine the priority areas for further actions.

In a separate block, the participants formed a plan of works to be completed by the end of the year. It was about completing purchases, preparing reporting documentation, replenishing the project database and organizing field events in the next season.

The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere, and the participants noted the importance of regular exchange of information for high-quality coordination of actions between project partners from both countries. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for December and will be final in 2025.
