Provision of expert advisory services in the field of aquaculture

December 6 2021

The term “aquaculture” (from the Latin aqua – water and culture – breeding) is a type of agricultural activity associated with the artificial breeding, maintenance and cultivation of hydrobionts in fully or partially controlled conditions for the production of aquaculture products. Therefore, a characteristic feature of activities in the field of aquaculture, compared to other areas of agriculture, is the use of water resources, and accordingly, the basis for conducting aquaculture is the right to use water resources.

In order to breed, maintain and grow fish, crayfish, shrimp, and other types of hydrobionts, you need to know the basics of aquaculture, namely: this feature determines the directions, types, form and content of aquaculture.

The legislation of Ukraine regulates the content of aquaculture, which is determined by the following aspects:

• state stimulation of fish production;

• rational use of the national resource;

• protection of ecosystems;

• ensuring food security.

Finding an effective combination of the components listed above is the key to the success of this business.
